4th Year Student: นางสาวชลธิชา สุวรรณ์
Jan 2020 - Mar 2020
Recipient: Siam City Cement Public Company Limited
Failure of the slope in a mine dump site in the mining area was encountered. The student, using KU Slope, studied the slope stability and designed a working slope and final slope for the dump site.
Awarded 4th best Special Project by the Khon Kaen University Geotechnology Alumni Association
Analysis and Stabilization of Mahakam River Bank slope at Bunyut Port, Trubaindo Coal Mine, East Kalimantan, Indonesia
4th Year Student: นายทรัพย์สถิต ทาแก้ว
Jan 2020 - Mar 2020
Recipient: Banbu Public Company Limited
A slope along the Mahakam River Bank failed and needed improvement to support a coal distribution port. The student used SLOPE/W to analyse the stability and design practical stabilization options taking into consideration the river level fluctuation and earthquake.
Awarded 1st best Special Project by the Khon Kaen University Geotechnology Alumni Association
Analysis of seepage in compacted soil and foundation for determining storage enhancement methods, Wang Toey Reservoir Project, Chaiyaphum province
4th Year Student: นายเจนณรงค์ สารักษ์
Jan 2020 - Mar 2020
Recipient: District 6 Regional Office, Royal Irrigation Department
The Wang Toey Reservoir in Chaiyaphum province was unable to hold water. The student, using SEEP/W, analysed the seepage and designed storage enhancement methods which will allow the reservoir reach its maximum storage capacity.
Groundwater Modeling of Mae Moh Mine Area, Lampang Province
4th Year Student: นางสาววราวรรณ คุมวิสะ
Jan 2019 - Mar 2019
Recipient: Mae Moh Mine, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand
Excavation of Mae Moh mine requires dewatering of groundwater to keep the mine dry and safe. The student studied lithological logs and created a conceptual model of the groundwater system in the mine area and developed an initial groundwater model using FEMWATER.
Slope Stability Analysis and Mine Master Plan Adjustment of the Southeast Pit East Wall in Mae Moh Mine
4th Year Student: นางสาวฐิติกา ทางดี
Jan 2019 - Mar 2019
Recipient: Mae Moh Mine, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand
Continuous Excavation of Mae Moh mine requires constant revision of the master plan. The student, using SLIDE 5.0, analysed the mine slope and adjusted the mine plan accounting for slope stabilisation designs.
